Meet Katie Henke



Daughter of Margie and Bob Huffman, Katie is the eldest of four children to grow up in what remains State House District 71. After graduating from Cascia Hall Preparatory School in 1999, Katie went on to study Education at the University of Alabama, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood development. During her career, Katie has taught special needs children at Tulsa’s Little Light House, as well as pre-kindergarten classes at Montessori and Riverfield schools.

Katie is currently serving her second term in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. She is Vice-Chair of the Appropriations & Budget Subcommittee for Education and also serves on the Standing Committees for Common Education, Higher Education & Career Tech and Transportation.  She was recently named Majority Caucus Secretary.

Katie and her husband, Frazier, have been married since 2009. They welcomed their first child, Fletcher, in July of 2014.
